2013 Prize Categories

Over the years, rules and categories are tweaked to accommodate the will of the anglers. Several years ago there was a call to separate the traditional big sport fishing boats with the smaller center consoles. But over the years, "small boats" have gotten bigger and the bigger slower boats have gotten faster.  There has never been more equity in boat types than there is now.  For 2013, the Mayor's Cup will return to one class of fishing, the Open Class. This means that center consoles and tradition sport fishers will be competing in the same categories. This also means MORE PRIZE MONEY!  Since the two classes are being combined, the stakes are being raised.

PLEASE NOTE: Prizes above are based on 30 paid boats in the tournament.

All teams are competing in the OPEN DIVISION. You can designate yourself as an Amateur team, but you are also eligible for OPEN DIVISION prizes. Amateur Division is for trophie only.
